Project description

The action contributes to the overarching goal of empowering both youth and adults with relevant, up-to-date skills that foster access to employment, decent work opportunities, and entrepreneurship, in line with the overall objectives of the EU4YES initiative.
Within this broader framework, the contract pursues several specific outcomes. The first aims to strengthen the quality of vocational training delivered by the Ministry of Labour by modernising its Vocational Training Strategy, enhancing collaboration with the private sector, and reinforcing institutional capacities.
The second outcome focuses on supporting the Ministry in updating the Egyptian National Occupational Classification (ENOC). This includes reviewing the existing ENOC 2017 framework to ensure its consistency with the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) classification system, thereby fostering greater alignment with international standards.
Finally, the third outcome seeks to ensure effective monitoring of the EU4YES Action and facilitate coordination among the various co-funders and implementing partners, including GiZ, AICS, Framework Contractors, and the current Technical Assistance team.

Vacancy description

Full-time post with the following responsibilities:

Project administration:
o Maintaining and completing project accounts on a regular basis.
o Ensuring timely submission of the team’s timesheets.
o Maintaining the relevant project documentation (technical and financial).
Project implementation support:
o Providing support to the team leader and experts in preparing project reports.
o Providing logistical support in the organization or project related events (such as workshops, study tours or missions as required by the project).
o Performing translation of short documents between English and Arabic as required by the project.
Other administrative and support activities required by the project.

Job profile

Required Qualifications:
• University degree, preferably in business administration, international relations or related topics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Excellent spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Proficient use of Microsoft 365 and other collaboration tools.
• Experience in maintaining project accounts.
• Ability to work in Cairo, Egypt (no relocation package foreseen).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience of office management in at least one EU project.
• Ability to act as an interpreter in small informal meetings.
• Prior experience in website management.
• Ability to travel to other areas of the country as required by the project.
